Switzerland is a piece of shit. They stand for nothing.

Well, they stand for business and neutrality. Their ambivalence to criminality outside their borders gets tiresome though I agree.

It's also where most wealthy Russians seek medical treatment. I think it's where Putin went for his face lift. Oligarchs with health issues probably wouldn't want to get stuck someplace else, be isolated by sanctions and travel restrictions and then not be able to get a needed procedure.

But it's business at any cost. And it's neutrality for profit.
Those aren't endearing qualities.

Russia is getting ready to take this conflict up another notch. Its going to go from bad to very very bad for the Ukrainian population I'm afraid.

Russian thermobaric "vacuum bombs" launcher seen by CNN team in Ukraine

"These types of weapons do not use conventional ammunition. Instead, they are filled with high-temperature, high-pressure explosive. They are sometimes called “vacuum bombs” because they suck in the oxygen from the surrounding air to generate a powerful explosion and a large pressure wave that can have enormous destructive effects. Thermobaric weapons have been used in Chechnya, with horrifying consequences, according to Human Rights Watch. Their use has been condemned by number of non-governmental organizations."

Wow. I can’t even fathom how you constructed that statement. It’s just incomprehensible.
I have him on ignore, so I don't know what could be more incomprehensible than him saying to toss grenades at immigrant children.

Don’t know if this is from Ukraine last night or not but those Molotovs look pretty effective

Think that's the Maidan?

You make a fire big enough there won't be much oxygen to breathe, tires melt and burst too. Mobility kills definitely work.

It's really moving watching these people fight for their country. Putin is assho.

No I get it, it's just that as an American I feel bad casting judgment given what my people have done for profit. Swiss neutrality has also proven to be a valuable lane for diplomacy and communication in times when normal relations just don't exist. Their commitment to privacy and neutrality has made them a reputation they are loathe to part with or jeopardize.

That's a very confused picture of things. You think and claim a quarter of the Russian invasion force is "lost"?
Even Ukraine claims to have only killed 3,500. Of 190,000 Russians.
The most favorable estimate is that 2% of the invasion force has been defeated.
They claim that many killed. Generally speaking the ratio of wounded to killed is about 3:1. If that’s the case here then you’re getting close to 10% casualties within a couple of days - that’s unsustainable levels of loss. Not to mention presumably a good portion of the 190,000 are support troops and not combat so for the actual combat units the ratio would be higher.

Again, this is all based on estimates you should take with a boulder of salt but if they actually have suffered 3,500 killed so far things are going very, very badly for Russia.
Sorry, yes, to be clear I meant combat personnel losses. Not everyone is a combat troop (unless you start ordering the cooks to pick up rifles I guess). They've likely lost a quarter or more of their actual fighters.

If Putin subjects Kyiv to massive indiscriminate bombardment with MLRS and heavy artillery with the world watching all bets are off about how the Euros will respond.
