Most of the Europeans gave up the ideas of Imperialism after WWI. Certainly it was dead after WW2.

I'm struggling to imagine any of the Euro nations to start sabre rattling vs one of their neighbours. High education rates tends to restrict extremism to the far corners of the political spectrum and hence limits political power for any extremists.
All, except Germany. After WWII, all, except Russia. Post y2k, still Russia.

I really didn't know whether to post this here or in the woke thread..

Apparently Russkies are super scared of facing troops who love each other dearly and will become super soldiers to defend their loved comrades!

Wait, so they plugged their own? I guess that's one way to be victorious.
The target was acquired, and serviced. A report of a successful hit was submitted to command. A video was provided.

Excellent work all around, time to go out and have a drink for work well done for the drone command.

Get up tommorrow, and do it all again. It is the drone command that will win this war. Everyone knows the drones are the weapon of the future.

This could go into its own thread if it's true. Feels a bit like treason to undermine your own government's efforts in a conflict.

All the major imperial powers that still existed at the end of World War I went right back to being imperial powers when it was over. The British, the French, the Dutch empires all rolled on. Only the Germans gave up imperialism for a spell and not by choice. The conduct of the Entente powers in the interwar period provided strong rational for the U.S. to sit on its hands as WWII broke out. No point in dying to save the British Empire.

I meant between themselves. Colonial rule was still alive and well. Not sure about Britain, but we did help the French (and got stuck in the Vietnam war).

Important milestone. Legitimizing strikes within RU territory will eventually lead to normalization of western weaponry used in said territory.
This is true. You start with drones and then a couple of months from now. Ukraine is all

Not that I necessarily have a problem with that.

Disagree.

Ukraine has said from day 1 no American weapons beyond the border because they respect the caution and don't want to jeopardize the support. They already have domestic weapons they can use for attacks deep within Russia. To my knowledge this principle has never been broken and Zelenskyy and his staff maintain it never will be. It's the smart move, and from a disciplined ally, I have no reason to question it.

Besides, we can and do put software restrictions on what can be targeted with some of our toys. Germans are doing the same for Taurus I think I read.

I'm saying I think they'll get authorization to do so, conveniently as they get within range of the weapons they're being provided (as intended from the outset).
