"8" brave Ukrainians in Western warbirds, hrmmm. AD assets aside that's worth times 3 in Russian equivalents I'd say. It doesn't take many Ukrainians to kill a lot of Russians, as we've seen. Take away the (non AESA) R-77 and what do those barely trained hungover Russian pilots have? Other than a hope an S-300/400 will bail them out? Jack shit. Remember what the Poles did to the Germans while flying for Britain? It might be something like that, we'll see. Apparently they are impressing the hell out of our AF guys, that's aside from learning English as well in most cases.

I do enjoy the surge of indignant denial from Kremlin ballsuckers whenever a potent system is given to Ukraine. F-16s on tankies, haha it's like what Hillary laughing does to magats. If the Russians keep getting clusterfucked like they did in Urozhaine, those F-16s might not have much to do by next year.

Remember when only a handful of HIMARS had been delivered to Ukraine. ;)

Ahh those Salad Days of Russian shock. Javelins, HIMARS, and Excalibur oh cykablyat!

Just imagine if Ukrainian 155mm pieces suddenly had the same range as GMLRS-ER? Now add in MRSI and Western accuracy.

GA's LRMP can do that and I certainly hope it gets the chance.

The bill to hold on to Donbas and southern Ukraine, which has just been made economically unproductive by blowing up the dam, is shockingly high for the Russians and climbing. All for something with little to no military or economic value for them.
The land bridge secures Crimea.
It means everything to the Russian war effort.
Everything.

If Russia loses that, only a lasting peace can protect Crimea.

The land bridge thing is something they need to tell themselves after the larger campaign collapsed last year.

I wonder if we’ll see western pilots signing up for the UAF once they have planes they’re familiar with…

Yea, a lot of the "Ukrainians won't be combat proficient in the F-16 for months or years" stuff while overblown sort of overlooks that they could hire willing contract pilots.

We have given Ukraine nearly double the amount the ENTIRE Russian military spends in one year, but somehow that isn’t enough?

And yet Biden wants to spend another $24 billion…meanwhile the US citizens of Maui get a $700 check for their troubles. Thanks Biden.

You can’t make this stuff up.
You are getting better with American idioms, I’ll grant you that.

Russia is in a Phyton grip, West* is squeezing the body slowly but firmly with more and better weaponry. HIMARS last year, better Tanks this year, F-16s on the way. What can the Russians pull out of the hat to counter the balance ? The attrition war is depleting them more on the technology side. Once the war turns into a meat-grinder for Russians because of air and ground superiority for the Ukrainians, it will be a game over politically for Putin.

Well, people have been prediciting Vlad's imminent collapse, defeat and death for months now and really not a whole lot has changed overall.

Maybe in a couple of weeks when the newest newly available new information comes out, eh?. Maybe during infrastructure ... err Vlad Capitulation week ....

I wonder if it has occurred to the Russians what the SBU is going to do to them once they don't have to worry about US/Euro sensibilities in order to maintain arms supplies.

Wait, is this true?? I thought that there were going to be 24 (maybe not at once).

I was using cyka's number on purpose. I believe when those fighters show up initially it will be a dozen or so. Still hoping for the 21st century's Flying Tigers to join the chat. F-16s, Mirages, whatever, there are retired pilots out there and I'm sure at least some of them have in interest in preventing WWIII.
