On my way home from work while listening to Rush Limbaugh, He was thanking a Marine on the radio for his duty in IRAQ. His last statement before the marine hung up was "and you know you are doing the lord's work". So when did this turn into a religious war for us or am I missing something here? Could it be that in light of all the negative news lately (bombings, polls) the christian conservative right is trying to rally support from christian americans by saying this bullsh!t? In the name of Jesus? Give me a break.

I'd be really interested in hearing some feedback from any Rush fans out there regarding this?

Jesus almighty.....I really wish that idiot would shut up.

Seriously.

He tarnishes everything those troops are over there doing for the iraqi people with garbage like that.

He is mixing/interchanging Humanitarian with Jesus Christ

During the election campaign he told people who were working to get Dubya re-elected that they were also doing the Lords Work ..

I cannot even stand to listen to him anymore

Does that mean all the deaths in Iraq fall under the 'killed in the name of God' tally that was in another thread?

Wow. . . you mean Rush is the Pope now?

I didn't know that John Paul had passed the god-phone to him.

The democrats have Moore to deal with, and the Republicans have Rush....karma and cosmic balance and all that jazz I guess.

It's only a matter of time until he refers to our Marines as "christian crusaders" ;)

...but remember, this isn't a Crusade! I wish he'd hurry up and overdose; he only embarrasses the right and tarnishes our image abroad.

This is true as well, bush is on record as saying he believes he's acting as God wants him to. So doesn't that make him equally a moron like rush here ? Anyone who has actually read their bible, and follows Jesus, does not go around waging wars thinking this is the Lord's work. Not at all. What sickens me is the arrogance of both of them to think they know what God thinks and even worse as far as bush goes, actually thinking he has the ability to know as well as act on it. I have no problem with someone talking to God and seeking guidance, but when some nutjob starts an unjustified war and claims he has God on his side. Well... Lord have mercy on his soul.

I would like to see an offical quote of this. I am sure that you cannot deliver.

You also fail to realize in you grand idiocy that Rush rarely (if ever) mentiones religion or God in his broadcast. Why? He is agnostic and proudly so.

Just more BS from this pathetically liberal (and intelectually weak) board.

Which fits in nicely with your pathetically conservative and intelectually weak post.

nice Irwin, defending Rush Limbaugh...this is a guy who is a drug addict (despite the fact that he said all drug addicts should be put in a boat and sent 'upriver', as he put it) and tells more lies and half truths on a daily basis than everyone else in the MSM put together....

Well, the majority of the American people agrees with him.

I think that the current USA is a perfect example of that you actually DO become what you fear.
