His point may have something to do with how the media made such a big deal about the Bears having a black head coach and having the highest percentage of black players for any team ever to make it to the Super Bowl..............and the one apparent weakness is the only visible white guy on the team.

Wait, Brian Urlacher isn't white? Has anyone told him yet?

I guess Urlacher isn't very visible...

Did he really say this? After all the crap he went through with his McNabb comments I wonder why he would be so stupid as to say something about another QB's race.

No love for their other pro bowler Robbie Gould? 🙁

You all fell for it, Rush was joking, playing on the media uproar about his comments on Donovan McNabb awhile back.

RUSH: Now, I did that -- I think it's safe to admit it now -- because I was trying to tweak the same media who went bonkers when I said the same thing about them and the way they treat Donovan McNabb. Twenty-four hours have gone by and they haven't picked up on it, so either they knew I was joking and got the point or... Obviously they haven't picked it up so they knew that I was tweaking them. It's the same thing here: of course I don't think it's okay to call Jews apes and Christians pigs, but to simply ask, "What's so hateful about that?" is my way of calling even more attention to how absurd it is.

Several of us mentioned the similarity to his previous comments that got him fired. Maybe it's because I don't listen to his show, but when a person makes a stupid comment seriously, then makes another stupid comment along the same vein, I'm going to interpret the second comment as serious. 😉

I was just reading up on Rush. here's what came up on Wiki:

" Education

He attended Southeast Missouri State University, where he earned a "D" in a speech class.[10] Limbaugh dropped out after two semesters and one summer, according to his mother, he flunked everything, including a modern ballroom dancing class.[7] This would have normally made him eligible to be drafted for service in the Vietnam War but he was classified as "1-Y" (later reclassified "4-F") due to an undisclosed medical problem.[11]"

Granted Wikipedia might not be the most accurate source, but if someone has conflicting reports please let me know. In either case, this guy is one of the most popular radio hosts in the country? Wow... just wow.

Hahaha, you don't even have half the story... you know what the 'medical condition' was? AN *ANAL CYST*

😀

irony = he got out of dying in vietnam by claiming he had an anal cyst. now, he's the anal cyst of america.

I agree that Rush was crazy to say what he did about McNabb on ESPN, but it really wasn't all that bad and honestly, he is 100% correct. Without getting into P&N territory, the media IS largely liberal, and they certainly HAVE for years wanted minorities, particularly blacks, to succeed in high-profile sports positions such as QB or Coach. Look at the big deal that was made about having two black coaches for proof.
