I know about the security risk, I am just wondering about the speed difference when running in admin vs. regular user.
Thanks

By default you'll have more services running in the background and so in that sense you will be wasting more resources when under an Admin login.

I can't speak about XP specifically but I know there is very little difference between an Admin and Power User account in Win2K. I benchmarked both a few times and there was very little difference. *shrug*
