Running works 4.0 on my new computer with win xp installed problem?

Installed ms works 4.0 on my new computer. When I try to change a number on the sheet I get this error message microsoft works for windows has encountered a problem and needs to close. It wants to send an error report. What the heck is this all about anyone have this problem? Or know a fix

You might need to run the program in compatability mode.
My honest advise though is pick up a newer version of Works. You can get a Works Suite 2003 for relatively cheap on fleabay or in the FS/FT forums here (from time to time).
