Quick tidbits:

System takes 30 mins to boot.
CPU load is always 100% even if idling!
Sisoft Whestone score: 9 MIPS (A64 X2 4800+ : 20630 MIPS, 2292 times faster!)

Amazing huh?

I seem to remember the original Gameboy ran at like 5mhz or something....think you could get XP on it?

Nah.. Not enough RAM and too little storage space.

According to Wikipedia, the Gameboy has a 4.184MHz Z80 CPU. I suppose even a 8MHz Pentium is still way faster.

One might be able to put Windows (XP) on a Gameboy Advance?

Don't think so. GA doesn't have even have a 1MB of RAM.

Point was the CPU speed though...you can always put extra memory and HD space in to get it going. Biggest problem would be that the Gameboy CPU isn't the same architecture, so I doubt it'd work anyways 🙁

which cpu is that? i seemed to remember the slowest pentium being 60 mhz

It was a Pentium 60MHz downclocked to 8MHz.

I thought that for the final numbers they used an Overdrive chip on a 486 board. 8MHz, the ISA bus speed... amazing. You have to hand it to MS: as useless as this is, it is really cool to see how "backwards compatible" XP can be.
