Running Windows 7 as a VM

I have CentOS (64-bit) running and created a new Windows 7 VM using VirtualBox. However, no startup it says this:

VT-x/AMD-V hardware acceleration has been enabled, but is not operational. Your 64-bit guest will fail to detect a 64-bit CPU and will not be able to boot. Please ensure you have enabled VT-x/AMD-V properly in the BIOS of your host computer. As a note, I am running Windows XP (32-bit) successfully as a VM.
 
I've been running Win7 x64 as a VM in Vbox. Opensuse x64 host. Works fine for me. Did you in fact check to make sure VT is properly enabled in your system's bios?

Not really sure why you even bring Windows 7 into your question. Your system isn't setup properly and your being told that before W7 even installs.

What am I missing for a setup? All the necessary options like virtualization are enabled in the BIOS.
 
I turned off Trusted Execution, I didnt get the error about the VT-x/AMD-V, and W7 was starting up, but got stuck at the Boot Manager and received a Status 0xc0000225
 
Works now, I had to blow away the VM and start fresh - I guess there was something in the boot sector from my attempts that it didnt like. The install just started.

Probably not the boot sector but the VM config file was probably based on your earlier non-vt enabled attempts so it gave you same warning without rechecking.
