running windows 2003 as a desktop (conversion tool)

I found this program which automatically performs most of the steps in this guide... so I figured it might save some of you people who want to use Windows 2003 as a desktop OS some time when you're finishing up the install.

Here is the program (standard "no warranties" disclaimer applies).

Now, I know that CTho9305 is a pretty good guy, but I still can't believe that anyone just took and downloaded an exe from someone they don't actually know and where perfectly fine running it...

Run as is only safe when you escalate permissions (e.g. logged in as a normal user using run as to run as admin), not try to run as a lower privledged account. Besides, the nature of the tool would suggest it would need admin privs to complete anyhow.

Ah. I would have just pointed them in the direction of the search button ;)

Actually, I lie. I usually just tell them it's silly. If they want to persist, Google can help them waste a grand to run XP ;)
