Running VMs from two host OSes (Win7 and Ubuntu 10.04)

I dual boot Win7 and Ubuntu 10.04. I have VMs that I currently run under Win7 using VirtualBox. I'd like to be able to run these same VMs when I'm booted into Ubuntu.

Is this as simple as installing VirtualBox on Ubuntu and mounting my Windows partition to get access to the VM files?

Yes, it should be. Really it has less to do with the host OS and more to do with the VM software you're using. VirtualBox should be sufficiently portable.
