I'm running one hard drive on ide channel 2 slave and another master sata. The hd on my sata channel is the one i have my os installed on and such. The other one on the ide channel 2 slave is from another computer. How come I cannot boot into windows with this new harddrive on ide channel 2 slave? I have the jumper on the hd set to slave.

Because you have it set to slave.

Have you gone into BIOS and changed your Boot Order?

Well, being set to slave does not matter if you can boot on an IDE or not. But the boot order will! Set your boot order to boot to the IDE first and you should be able to boot. But I doubt it will boot all the way to Windows since the HAL (Hardware Abstract Layer) is different, since it came from another computer. You can do a repair installation so you can boot into windows without losing data on the IDE hdd.
