I know with Windows 2000 Server and above, terminal services comes as an option to install.. When installed, it works from the get go. (Meaning, terminal services clients can connect to it authenticating against accounts permitted to connect; local or on the domain)
With Windows 2000 Professional, the Admin Pack includes what looks to be a Terminal services manager.. when installed, it indeed installs a manager with which you can.. manage.. terminal servers (and connect to them as a client). However, no services permitting an outside connection to connect to the machine will be installed/started. This is unfortunate.
Any insight?
