Running svideo cable from video to satelite reciever?

Have you done this, or can it be done the same as if you had an svideo adapter on your tv? I just got a Radeon 7500 with video out but my tv doesnt have svideo connector. But i noticed the satelite reciever does have one on the back. Will this work the same way. Just want to find out before i go and purchase the 20' of svideo cable at Radio Shack.
 
the satelite reciver has a S-video out. That is not a S-video in. If you had the S-video in on your TV you can connect the sattlite reciever with it. So you can't do what since your TV doesn't have it. But i am sure you TV has Composite in. There are adapters that breaks the S-video to composite. I am not sure where you might get it. But it's there in the market. If you get hold of it you can connect the S-video out of your comp to the composite in on your TV. Remember this way it dosn't carry the audio signal with it. for audio you have to connect separtely.

1.are you trying to run the satelite to your tv and cant because no svideo?
2.running to the ati tv out won't allow you to view the satelite on the monitor.
3 if you are trying to get the satelite to work on non svideo tv then i can help go to radio shack and get a video rf modulator channel 3 or 4 output to use your tv as a monitor for video cameras video processors and selected computers part #15-1244 i use this for dvd svideo to rf tv and gamecube and to hook my ati radeon all in one wonder to an older tv that doesn't have svideo.it also has an antenna connection
but i paid 29.00 for it at christmas and you may find one cheaper but this works fine😉
