running star control 2 in windows 2000 with sound

can this be done? I have tried searching the net but have not been able to get anything to work. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I use it and it works pretty well. Although, my star control 2 runs sooooooooo slowly on my win2k box. I doubt that it's because my P3 can't handle it... mostly likely some sort of incompatibility.
