How do you know what kind of feet you need to buy so you get the right ones?

Folks have suggested I go to a "running" store, but that really isn't practical as the closest one would probably be in St. Louis about 2 hours away... All we have around here are outlet stores, and there is an MC Sports in Jefferson City(40 min drive).

anyways, I guess I'll be running say 2-3 miles 5-6 times / week for 12 weeks mostly on a track.

any ideas?

When you walk & run, do you feel like you are putting more pressure on the outside of your foot, the inside of your foot, or mostly right down the middle?

If you are rolling in, then you are a pronator and *probably* want a more supportive shoe with some motion control built into it.
If you are rolling out, then you are a supponator and *probably* want a much more flexible shoe with very little, if any motion control.
If you are a neutral runner, then you can buy a standard trainer built for neutral runners.

Pronators many times have flat arches, suponators usually have high arches, and neutral runners have normal arch heights.

Use Runner's World's Shoe Finder. It should have everything you need to help you pick the right shoe. Read all the articles they have on the shoe finder page and you should make a great decision.
