brooks and asics.
I have tried the Brooks Beast and the Asics Gel Foundation and Evolution series.
there is also a series by Saucany (sp?) that I like too, but I cannnot think of them off the top of my head.
They are all good. I liked asics better because they have more cushioning. The Brooks are good, but they lack cushion.
I went to a running shoe/running store and I got set up with some Brooks. They were $165 Canadian 3 years ago. Very comfortable.
Otherwise, look at buying $30/pair Happyfeet shoe inserts.
I have flat feet, but not that hardcore.
I have some orthotics but they don't fit comfortably in all shoes and I'm not sure that they'd be good to run with. My flat feet are actually that bad... I've had some issues with my feet including two metatarsal fractures in my left foot. Right foot has a mild bunion and some crooked toes. So... yeah, I need some *good* shoes. 😀
