Running Programs w/WINE: Better to Install Them in Win98SE or Linux?

Hi there...

I am going to be migrating this desktop to Linux with a dual-boot to Win98SE, but RedHat 7.3 will be used 98% of the time. My question is, for programs that I want to use with WINE to run in Linux, would it be better to install them in Windows or Linux?

Some examples of what I plan to use WINE with from the get-go are:
Trillian
Half-Life
Half-Life: Counter-Strike
Warcraft III

And I'm sure I'll find some more stuff too.

Suggestions? 🙂

Thanks! 😀

My experience with WINE. It is better to install in Windows, and run in Windows if you have a dualboot. WINE seems kind of fickle to me. Runs some apps well, others not at all.

Thanks!

From what I've read, the software I listed above will function with WINE. My question though, is, where is the best place to locate software that I am using with WINE? On the Windows partition or the Linux partition?

Thanks!
