Next time, just say "fan". A piece of metal, even if it has a fluid in it, lasts practically as long at constant temperature as it does at fluctuating temps.

As for the fan... they're meant to be running 100%.

The answer is no. Fans are designed to run at 100% so feel free to keep it at that.
