Running Fastrack66 Raid IDE Controller on an out of spec FSB

Could everyone that have tried let me know about their result. I can run my Raid ide at FSB 66/100/133 without any problem, but if the FSB is 75,83, 105, 112, 124, 140, etc..., my OS won't boot properly. Is my card defective, or is this normal that it will only run at 33Mhz PCI bus? Thanks guys!

I have had my FastTrack66 on a 41.5MHz bus. And get this... it was even on a 1/4 PCI divider.

Everyone who owns the modded Promise66 should read the following! This explains why some people cannot run the card beyond specs and why others can!!!! (found at http://forum.onecenter.com/cgi-bin/forumone.cgi).

I have seen different Ultra66 cards. One with a 66.66MHz oscillator(the square metal block in the middle) another w/o it.

I guess the former should work at at any PCI bus speed as it has its own clock. The latter, if you go beyond 33, timing could be screwed up.

Personally I have several cards of the first type. All work rock solid at 40MHz. Never go beyond 40, as my PC100 memory does not work beyond 40.
