I have an HP notebook (Pavilion dv6-3013cl). It has an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250. I downloaded and installed the latest ATI Catalyst driver for it. However, when I try to run the F@H GPU console client, I get this error in the console window:

[19:01:32] ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series detected
[19:01:32] At present your GPU is not supported or you need a current driver.
You may wish to consider running our standard client,
which you can download at folding.stanford.edu.

I thought ATI Radeon cards were supported? Or am I missing something here? Under Device Manager, its Driver version 8.741.0.0 dated 5/27/10.

Oh, for an OS I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium.

Edit: It works now after adding this flag: -forcegpu ati_r600

Hmm, I would think it a bad idea to run the GPU client on a notebook, won't that run superhot?
What ppd is it giving you?

Perhaps it's not set to run by default on mobility chips to avoid cooking some laptops etc?? A quick dig around F@H didn't show anything though.

Maybe someone else who knows more can help?
