I know a I have a nice rig, but First I tried it with only one cpu running F@H at 100% (50% really), but then I tried it with 2 instances of F@H, and I can;t see a difference ! And I am running 1280x1024 with an X800pro (high auto-settings), which is supposed to suck at Doom3 !

I just want to know if I am the only one this lucky, or are Opterons really that good at SMP, and I am just now seeing it. (SMP noob....., but SCSI does rock !)

Folding@home has lowest processor priority, i.e. if your processor is doing ANYTHING ELSE, such as opening a program, playing a game, etc., processor power is diverted from folding@home to do that task. In such instances as the very demanding Doom3, you'll notice that no work will have been completed while playing the game. I'm not familiar with how a dual CPU set ups work (that is one hell of a machine you have there btw, holy crap...), but if you got it so that one CPU ran Doom 3 and the other ran F@H, then you could get work done. However, leaving F@H on constantly doesn't matter, because your CPU will only work on it when it's in an idle state.

Also, out of interest, your X800Pro should be able to do a hell of alot more than that. My overclocked Radeon 9800Pro does high quality, 1280x1024, 2xAA, 4xAF 40-60fps (damn cap).

I know they are the lowest priority, but wasn't seti also ? I know when running seti it made a difference (I have over 5k seti packets for Anandtech). So it is that different than seti ? (sounding like a noob again....)
