Running CPUs hard but not o/c, do I need better than retail HSF?

I'll be running a non-o/c dual machine which will be doing intense cpu work. If it weren't for the intense work, I wouldn't be wondering if I should bet a better than factory HSF that came with CPUs (xp2000 or x2100). But I know that with SMP sometimes it's better to have more overhead in the cpu, and better cooling might provide that.
Question is, will the retails fans still be good enough under mostly intense cpu work in an SMP setup?*

* if you think I need after market hsf, pls recommend one. Thanks

EDIT: I guess I should ask, in case an aftermarket hsf IS needed, how many degrees that would drop it, cuz I can't see spending the money if it's not at Least 9 or 10c drop (preferably more).

Thanks

as long as you have proper case ventilation, the retail HSF should work fine

I agree with BigJ. Stock HSF *should* be sufficient when running stock speeds. Only in the unprobable event of instability would I take a look at further cooling, and then only when any other cause is ruled out. Make sure you have a PSU that has plenty of juice on the 12V rail to feed those hungry CPU's!
