I hope this is the right spot for it :X

So after i got the linksys firmware working upstiars (fantastic by the way) I want to get cable upstairs in my room. only 4 channels hurts and when you cant watch espn/discovery/history in my room it kinda hurts..so i got thinking how to get cable up in my room.

the cable box is downstairs in the family room, basiclly a long way away from me. I was thinking running the wire down the vent to the basement, but then i would need to find a heatshielded cable.

questions: would running the wire through the vent be the eaisest way?

are heatshielded cables expensive? heat winter air condic summer.

thanks for the help :D

I wouldn't run it through the heating duct. Easiest yes, but not the smartest. :p

I'm sure there's another cable you can follow up.
