Running C&C Generals with Ti4200

I'm running Generals on a P4 2.4ghz, 512mb ram, msi ti4200 128mb. On 1024x768 with settings turned on high, i get 30-33fps and 15-20fps when there is a lot going on screen.

I'm interested in knowing if this is what I'm supposed to get.

I don't think so. My laptop is a PIV 1.7, 256MB PC2100, GeForce 4 440Go (slow than an MX). I ran 800x600 with max everything and got about your framerates. I ran 1400x1050 with medium detail and no shadows pretty smoothly.

I have no idea what my framerates were, but I can tell you that when I had my Athlon XP 1700+ (Pally), 1GB RAM and after I installed my 128MB Ti4200 card I was able to go to 1600x1200 with the details high and I had no slowdown at all. Not that I could tell anyhow. It was a marked difference from the GF2.

no lag even with alot of action on my geforce4 TI4200 8x 128mb, athlon xp 2000, 512mb crucial pc2100.

With my ti4600 it runs smooth with everything maxed in 1600x1200. Gets pretty laggy in those settings with aa and af on though.
