Running BJC-85 printer off computer 12v...possible?

Just got a Canon BJC-85 cheap. It's a portable printer, very small, and runs off a 13v, 1.8 amp power supply. Any reason I couldn't run this printer off the 12v line in the computer? I'd like to eliminate the stupid power brick.
 
No notebook involved.....just a regular computer. I have limited space and this printer is small enough to sit on the top of the tower. For occasonal text printing this will work just fine.
