Running a power supply by itself

I want to be able to run a power supply by itself so I can test certain parts in my work area without having to have a mobo on hand.

There is a way to plug the power supply to itself or something, but I can't come up with the correct search words to find it.

use a paperclip to connect the black and any green wire in the mobo atx connector. plug in the psu and it will start.
