Running a PDA on D cells?

I've seen those "Emegerency" PDA chargers on Buy.com and Amazon.com that run on 4 AAs, but I want something that runs off of D cells or even a 6V lantern battery. Why a D cell instead of AAs you ask? Try 20amps vs 2.8 amps (longer run time) which would be nice for those extended "off the grid" times

BTW, with a 16GB SDHC card I can store over 80 hours of video.

:laugh: Amps is the rate at which current (electricity) flows. Perhaps you mean Amp-Hours or milliAmp-Hours.

I hope you don't put 20Amps through something that is intended for 2.8Amps.

Well using 4 D kind of beats the whole idea of PDA size wise.

In any case if you can find the plug that goes to the PDA you can buy a 4D size container box in Radio Shack with 4D cells and with few minutes of soldering build you own.

I built one like this with C cells for my digital camera to use with when I many need multi Flashes in a raw.
