Running 5870 on v1.1 PCI Express x16

Anyone have any info/benchmarks on how a 5870 would run on a v1.1 PCI Express x16 slot? I'm looking to get one but before I do I'd at least like to know how it rates up to a v2.0 slot. I've only found comparisons between v2.0 slots on the web so far, nothing where someone was testing the card in a v1.1 slot. Any reply appreciated!

PCIe v.2.0 @ 8x = PCIe v1.1 @ 16x , extrapolate from there.

Oh, I didn't realize that it was only a factor of 2 that the bandwidth was going up. I was under the impression it was more for some dumb reason.

I honestly did use it. I saw nothing relevant here concerning the new generation of ATI cards and PCI scaling.

Can't say I didn't expect SOME flak.

Of course it's a common assumption that new members thrust upon here without using search. I've at least been lurking since early '08 but just haven't had to ask a question until now.
