Running 2 clients!

Ok I finally got a console and a graphical client to run at the same time! Now, do I have to set each client to a single core (IE: console client to CPU 0 and visual client to CPU 1) or can I leave them both to run on both cores?

I promise this is my last question... until something goes wrong lol

no problem at all asking questions. most of us are glad to help 🙂

you are correct on the first account. They must each have a unique ID.

Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong, but as I recall if you are running a graphical and a counsole you do not need to set affinity. Just start them both and crunch away 😀

Well I was just messing around on their site and I found somewhere in the FAHWiki that explained when you have to use affinity and when you don't! I'm getting super lucky tonight! Turns out that pretty much the only time you need to use affinity is if you are using HT on certain Intel processors, which is not me. 🙂

Thanks for the help anyway!

I think you have to have the "-local" flag added to the startup shortcut of the console client. If you need help to do this just ask, we like questions!
