Runing pc4000 memory slower

I'm probably going for a asus SLI motherboard, but this mobo won't run the memory bus that fast; so I understand.

There is minimal price difference between PC 3200 and PC 4000 memory right now - are there anyproblems underclocking a pc4000 memory module.

And may I piggyback that question with: if you do underclock CAS 2.5 PC4000 RAM to PC3200 is it possible to get lower latencies? I have Geil Ultra PC4000.
