RUNDLL No access to System Restore ?

While attempting to set a system restore point in my XP pro I was unable to get into the program.

Went to: control panel; system;(system properties); System Restore.
A box opens, titled, RUNDLL.
An exception occurred while trying to run
"Shell32.dll, Control_RunDLL "C;\windows\System32\sysdm.cpl",System"

I don't know how to fix this.
How about a little help!
