Hi all, I'm new to the board, but this isn't really my first post. I had to change handles.
Anyhow, I'm running XP Pro and have several accounts set up on my stand-alone PC. When I'm logged on as a limited user, and use the runas option to kick off an application, my explorer.exe dies. I get the standard pop up that says "Windows has encounted an error, and must close explorer.exe, do you want to send a report to Microsoft?" My desktop then goes blank for a moment, and then all of my icons come back as normal. This occurs when I right click and choose "Run As" for all programs.
What's weird is that I have modified my Nero shortcut so that it will run as an Administrator (modified the target so that it's actually running c:\windows\system32\runas.exe, and then opens Nero), and when I run this shortcut I do not get the error.
Any ideas? TIA.
Specs:
Athlon 1800+
ECS k7s5a MB
256MB DDR RAM
Nvidia AGP VC 32MB? (not sure of exact specs)
On-board Sound
