Run Linux game in windows?

I'm currently dowloading an open source game called Freespace 2. I believe the developers went out of buisness so they made it open source. I can't find this game anywhere for the life of me. All I can find is a Linux version of it.

Is this thing going to work? I know nothing about linux.

Thanks.

Freespace 2 is not open source.

However, there is a free download of the Windows version of Freespace 2 (not sure about the legality of this) on the underdogs.

I've read that it's open source all over the net. Here's an example: http://macteens.org/more.php?id=140_0_2_0_C

I came across a message from the developers announcing that it has turned open source too. I can't find the link though.

I tried that underdogs website. The download link appears to be dead. I appreciate it though.

Thanks for the link. Allthought I can't use the bit torrent because stupid IE automatically opens it instead of asking to save.. then BT gives me an error that says I need to save the torrent to my hard drive. (tried picking through the source file for the address it goes to but it won't work)

The other download thats 219 mb is a stripped down version of the game. Oh... I just noticed that the stuff that is stripped down can be downloaded from an ftp server. I'll give that a try.

Thanks
