Run line junkie needs help, please....

I use the Run line in 2K Pro to start as many programs as I can.

I have started using Firebird and love it. In the past, I generally started IE from the run line. How can I start Firebird from the run line?

Thanks!

Just add the firebird program folder to your path environment variable and then you can type the name of the executable in the run box

right click on My Computer -> properties -> advanced tab -> environment variables -> under the system variables section find the path entry and edit that.

When I used windows I had my own little folder of shortcuts to apps, with short names I assigned to them. I then added this one folder to my path and I could bring up the run box and run "ps" to run photoshop, and so forth.

I know from the forums that you are a Linux convert these days, but FYI Adobe apps all execute from the Run line. I like that idea though. I can just put my Quicklanch folder in the path and rock on 😀

Thanks!
