Just was wondering whether anyone has tried this out yet. As Wesley's benchmark shows, there is a 15% increase in media encoding performance... so I was just wondering what [erformance gains are to be expected here.

Well..... I just setup a AMD64 3200+ with 1GB 400 RAM and 2 SATA 36G 10,000 RPM Raptors raid0
I could not get the SATA driver to load so I installed on a Seagate 7200RPM SATA drive.
I dont think the drives have an impact on SETI
Seti times on the WinXP32 are after 11 WUs 1:53. WinXP64 3 WU 3:25
So at least with SETI and my setup times suck!!! I went back to WinXP32 quick.

Hope this helps.

since there isn't code (for windows XP64) writen for the seti client yet that makes use of the added registers of the amd64, you won't see a performance gain.
