I just watched him respond to questions on TV, he is deffinetly stalling and trying to give the reporters a run around, he never really answered any of the questions. He is either very dumb or being told to keep people in the dark.

He is very good with the media. His press conferences have actually become very popular because he is so good at dealing with stupid questions!! He is so clever and quick with his responses that those stupid reporters usually get insulted but don't even know it!!!

Go Rummy!!!

It's froth mate, not foam.

He is both dumb and is being told to tell small circles.

Rumsfeld is very good with the media and even they concur with this! He gives them the data and answers what he can and the reporters have stated they appreciate this from him!

Would you like him to divulge all of our military plans so the enemy knows what we're up to? :frown:

I'm extremely impressed with Donald Rumsfeld so far. The man is nearly 70 years old, and gets less than 6 hours of sleep a night, as he was quoted as saying during a interview. He's got one of the most difficult jobs on the planet at the moment and he's handling it very well. Kudos to him.

Soooo..... since you know better,
How would you do his job? Please answer given the constraints of the real world.
Also, who among his peers of either party, has ever questioned his veracity or intellegence.

A favorite saying of mine- "No one knows your job better than someone who has never done it"

What do you expect? Telling the whole military plan that we have?
I believe that it is legit for him to keep certain information from us. For one reason, prevent unnecessary panic alert. Secondly, for the U.S's own pretection.

Of course he is not revealing everything to the press. There is a damn war going on. What do you expect? Haven't you ever heard the phrase "Loose lips sink ships"?

Sec. Rumsfeld relates very well with the media.

Rumsfield handles the press like he owns them.
How many times do you see him "clarifying" things so there is no "misquote"
He is a master.
Then again he should be, considering he has been dealing with them for 35+ years.

I just saw a special on him on CNN, and he is very impressive. Love the way he handles the press.

Rumsfield is great with the press. Sometimes he reminds me of Chevy Chase in "Spies like Us". In the scene where he acts like the microphone is dead. But of course Rumsfield is better at what he does then CC.

I think he's doing a great job. I watch him answer the same stupid questions day after day. I don't know how he does it without getting pissed. Part of being a politician I guess. What really impresses me about him is he is letting the generals and admirals fight this war. He's smart enough to not interfere, lets the professionals do their jobs.

novon what the hell are you talking about!!rumsfeld and cheney (bush is a puppet) are poucing on the taliban like a tiger on a mouse. Do you actually listen to the questions being asked? I am almost embarrassed these are the "best" reporters out there. Really sad. Maybe those smuck reporters are there for a reason.
