In the long run, Osama wins. He divided america. America is no long united. Too many idealists and realists fighting with each other and biching at each other. After the 'surge' of unity, there was unprecedented support for our operation against al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.

The unity was destroyed the moment the first bomb was dropped in Iraq. Sorry to inform you, Osama didn't pull the trigger on that.

Where? What have the republican's done about illegal immigration in the last 6 years of total control that the democrat's will reverse?

I haven't heard one democrat say anything about more money to Katrina victims, and let's talk about the hundreds of millions that already went to Katrina victims, much of which was mismanaged/lost/stolen.... also under Republican control. Where have you seen any sign that the democrats would waste more?

And please find just one quote of a democrat who won who said they're going to decrease funding for defense. The majority of democrats have voted for every defense spending bill that has come up since 9/11, so why the hell would you assume they all of a sudden wouldn't fund defense now?

If you have any specific examples of things the Republicans did that the Democrats are going to change i'd love to hear them. Otherwise i'll just assume that something in the Republican kool-aid corrupts your critical thinking abilities.

There's nothing the feds can do about mismanagement of Katrina funds. Louisiana is black hole of political corruption...always has been, always will be. Should have just bulldozed the city of New Orleans after Katrina.

It'll last a while. If the U.S. abandons Iraq in its current state, all hell will break loose and Iraq will become not just a full-blown civil war and quite possibly a puppet state to Iran; but also the dreaded center of global terrorism.

Besides, you still have Cheney to maintain the status quo of no strategy or plan to reach an attainable goal.
 
Can I ask why in the hell is Bush nominating another management official instead of someone with war experience? Like John McCaine?

McCain would have to be an idiot to join Bush's administration as a secondary voice to Cheney and Condi Rice. Not to mention that would essentially kill any aspirations he has to be elected President in 2008.
