All BD really needs to be is somewhat competative and AMD should be fine in the CPU front... just like the HD6970 is competative.

Some guy on that thread says he has an SB-E??? Can I say I have an IB? Nah, a Haswell! And darn it, does it ever clock good! (Note that is a bald faced lie, or wishful thinking on my part!) :)

If your talking about bencher . He doesn't say any such thing. You already cost me a point for the same inability to comprehend reading. In so far as the context of the thread and the replies. Reread benchers reply . It was a direct reply to a reply several post above benchers reply. You are so Transparent!

OMG, do I have to have a SARCASM AHEAD disclaimer every time I post something around here? I'm going in to plunk a signature to that effect in my profile.

Geez, guys, this isn't an oncology department or Fukushima Daiichi, it's a CPU forum! Sense of humor respectfully requested!

What are you getting for your time? Your coy as they come.

My dear friend, I appreciate your input, respect your opinion, and have no idea what you're inferring. What I'm getting for my time? As in payment? Salary? Commission? Pimping? o_O

I've been active in online forums since CompuServe at 2400 baud and I have to state that I have never ever run into as many misinterpretations as I have here. Either there are individuals who wish to interpret my words sans the prerequisite application of a sense of humor, or I am suffering from the initial stages of dementia.

Again, I wish to upset no one at all on this forum or anywhere else in my life, so I beg forgiveness if I have inadvertently perturbed anyone and assure you/them that you/them have my absolute and unequivocal apology. :)

Now may I please ask for your kind tolerance and forbearance as we return to the topic with my total best wishes to one and all? :)

Coy! Your act of disillusionment is transparent. your word usage is admirable, But it lacks sincerity. You have 154 post . Transparent you are. Some years ago I spotted another just like you on these forums.

I have a feeling that the next person(s) to derail the thread further with accusations of shills / being on the take, personal announcements of innocence or disbelief, or additions to their signature, or any other inane sort of thing, will be in trouble.

My humble suggestion would be: either contribute something about Bulldozer, or deal with the Bulldozer contributions, or stay out of this thread.

Thank you jvroig. Will do. :)

I have a question about the recently released benchmarks. According to this chart:

Benchmark Score
3DMark11 P6265
Fritz Chess 29.58, 14197 kn/sec
PCMark 7 3045
Cinebench R10 24434
X264 45.39 fps (P2), 136.29 (P1)

http://vr-zone.com/articles/purported-amd-bulldozer-benchmarks-leaked/12914.html#ixzz1RoQhHIDV

What would be the benchmarks which have not been performed that would be a more accurate illustration of "real world real application (Photoshop, etc.)" performance vs. 2600K in order to come up with a reasonable comparison?

Well looks like OP was right! it is 50% faster than Phenom!
Well, let's not be too hasty, these are still just rumors. I'd be glad to find out that this was indeed true, though.

However, I just have little personal faith in DonanimHaber and OBR. Having their names attached to the leaks almost makes me conclude they are completely fake or made up. But like I said, I would love to be surprised.

From what I've seen in reading other sources and forums, I believe that may be an accurate statement... but like you I'm hopeful and anticipating a tremendous real world release performance level from BD so I can buy one!

Really looks like your reading comprehension needs work. That not what the topic title states and you know it . Is it 50% faster than i7 2600K or even The lowly 2500k I highly doubt it and the OP was crasy for including i7 in the topic. When the OP included i7 in his topic title . That opened up the discussion for more than AMD BD discussion it infact opened the discussion to i7 as well.

OP was about Nehalem i7, not Sandy Bridge. Notice that the quote in the OP mentioned i7 950

Thank you. It's my pleasure to entertain! :)

So before the XX% faster/slower/whatever is bandied about, this whole thing seems (to me) as the medieval philosophers arguing about angels dancing on the head of a pin. In any statistical study there is a "degree of confidence" stated. Just from my own reading on the subject of "the source(s)" I would conclude that the "degree of confidence" they display is rather low. Am I to find general agreement on this personal opinion?

I noted it . Point is i7 is in the title. Now you come with Nehalem and i7 950 in the ops remarks . Doesn't matter about his remarks . i7 is in title. Whats with you guys TRING to make threads = to cores. Its a lie and will never be excepted as apples to apples other than a cost debate. In which case I sugjest most of ya look at either an atom or a zacata for your cpu og choice. But if your going to compare one companies best cpu to another companies do it apples to apples . Your best against the other companies best . Than let the buyer detremine what to buy . Rather than hypeing midrange cpus. As high end .

Dude you're full of BS, but that's not news for you. The OP was jan 13, about a week after SB was released; at the time i7 didn't imply 2600k.

Fail, look at the title "Rumour: Bulldozer 50% Faster than Core i7 and Phenom II". It is faster by Phenom II by 50% in several apps according to the rumours, so basically, you fail and troll elsewhere.

Ares, in a few threads now you are taking a rumor from a very unreliable source and trying to pass it as fact. I realize that you have high hopes for BD as a lot of us do, but basing your arguements on fudzilla is not going to get you any points. I could make a nice screenshot of BD beating Sandy by 100% if you want....does not mean it is true.
