This rumor was reported on several TV news shows today (Oct 6). There was a rumor last week, but the McCain campaign said that she would not be on that episode (but didn't say she wouldn't go on next week).

I'd provide a link but only stuff I could find was from last week. The reports today were different, saying that McCain campaign security paid a visit to NBC studios.

SNL's ratings are reportedly pretty good, in part due to Palin "popularity". I think it would be great to see her make a cameo.

Looking forward to it. McCain, Hillary, and others have provided many a good laugh with their appearances.

They are trying to stop the bleeding.

It's a good PR move. Instead of being the punchline, she can get people to laugh WITH her instead of AT her.

Too little, too late, but good for her. Maybe she'll do us all a favor and stay out of politics to pursue a career in comedy.

The most startling fact about the entire SNL comedy brain trust backing Tina Fey's amazingly spot-on impersonation of Palin is that they have been wholly unable to get further "out there" than Palin's own earnest, real-life impersonation of herself does.

Think about that.

She is such a pandering, gibbering idiot that a world class comedy team can't make more fun of her than she unwittingly does of herself.

The hardest part of good comedy is knowing when to just let reality speak for itself.

hahahaha! Seriously though, it's Saturday Night LIVE

Does Sarah really have the 4 or 5 days it'll take for her to memorize her lines? ;)
