I don't believe it. $80 price cut? No; it's always been pricier than the GC and Sony is top dog now. If there was a price cut it wouldn't go much below $150 in the near future. Probably won't hit $100 until ps3 comes out, as others mentioned. PS2 sales are strong, I'm sure, so why cut into them?

Actually, the price drop rumor is incorrect, but they will be bundling a GameCube with it.
