So here's my brag thread. I ran the Rugged Maniac yesterday and lived to tell about it. It's 3.1 miles and about 25 obstacles. I'm proud of myself and my wife for finishing. As a 33 year old father of 2 boys, I don't have much free time to "train" for an event like this. I ride a bike, play dance central on the xbox 360, do some light weight training, yard work, but don't really run very often (not a big fan, ran lots in high school though).

I'm proud of my wife too, she did great. She ran it last year, and said it was harder this year. Different obstacles and track.

Favorite obstacle - The rings. 8 hanging Olympic rings over water. I surprised myself and made it across.

Not so favorite - The ramp wall. I didn't make it up. It was the last obstacle. Leading up to it was a very steep and long hill. Takes a lot out of you. Another guy and I helped quite a few people up and over it though.

The event was fun. Great vibe all around. People encouraging each other and helping each other. I'm doing it again next year. My mother in law showed up and took some pics. I'll post some if there are any good ones.

Ask questions if you want.

If you're into having fun., but hesitant to do it, let my brag thread be an encouragement to you. Even this out of shape dad can do it and live to tell about it.

Great story thanks for sharing. I was debating whether or not to go running this morning but if you can do the rugged course I can certainly get my ass out of bed a jog a few miles today! :)

This is just like my brother lol. When he goes to restuarants he demands immedeiate service because he has kids lolol. One time I went to dinner with him he complained the service wasn't fast enough he literally said "you know when your customers have kids you need to be like *snaps fingers* with the service"

But if you look around the room nearly half the tables had kids at them lolol.. some people think they are the only people with kids...

I'm not sure how you misinterpreted what I typed. I didn't say that stuff at all. And, I'm not like that at all. Your brother sounds like a dick.
