Hi all, i am looking into a rugged cam for an upcoming vacation and was wondering what you suggest? I have been checking out the new Panasonic DCM TS3. any one have any hand on exp with this cam? I am curious of the video quality. I have used a fuji finepix wp33 but the quality was not very good.

thanks

I am looking for a camera that is waterproof that can take a beating.we have a fuji z33 that has a broken battery door, and is no longer waterproof. I am looking at the fuji xp 20 for around 200$ and the Panasonic TS3 for 399. my concern with the xp20 tho is video quality, the videos on the z33 were of terrible quality.

I have the Panasonic TS1, and its image and video quality about as good as you can get in a rugged cam. It doesn't obliterate every last ounce of fine detain in an attempt to hide noise, has a useful 28mm-equivalent wide angle lens, 720p video, optical image stabilization, various scene modes including long exposure, and it doesn't look like a toy camera.

Haven't tried the TS3, but it looks very similar to the TS1 in terms of specs and capabilities.
