This video of the RUF CTR3 was filmed ijn Bahrain, and is our first chance to see the 700hp monster in action. It is set to compete with the Ferrari Enzo, Carrera GT and SLR Mclaren and will be priced at ?380,000.

I love that interior... and 700hp from the 3.8L flat mill accompanied with snails isn't too shabby either. It probably has those variable geometry turbos the GT2 has which reduce lag in low rpm situations.

Power bhp (kW) at RPM: 700(522) / 7000
Torque lb-ft (Nm) at RPM: 657(890) / 4000

Weight lb (kg): 3086 (1400)

That might be the least exciting promo video I have ever seen, for any car, period.

That car, however, will probably be awesome. Looks like it is Cayman based, rather than 911.

they should have aimed for a 1-minute commercial rather than a 5-minute promo. the commercial would *force* them to be more captivating. i lost interest after 30 seconds of turn signals :p

Nice car, but WTF were they thinking with that video? 5 minutes long, 30+ seconds of turn signals, the car is in motion for about a minute at the end, at no time does the car exceed a brisk walking pace, and that music was smuggled out of Guantanamo Bay. Maybe if Ruf took someone else'e movie, spiced it up and claimed to be a movie studio, it would have been better.

The only flaw that i saw with the car was that the sequential shifter needed to be pressed forward to upshift. I dont know about you, but when you're pressed back into your seat when accelerating pulling the shifter back would be easier rather then pushing it forward.
