Trump is headed to Florida, either before the end of his term, or on 1/20/21. Soon NY is going to want him in court on criminal charges.

I'm sure NY and FL have extradition agreements, but can the governor of FL, DeSantis, a trump howler monkey, block his extradition?

I am sure he could drag his feet but I don’t believe he could block it and I am confident Trumps assets in NY would be at risk of seizure.

I wonder if the change in approach to the election isnt just the certifying of results. My guess is Trump found his escape plan. I think he knows self pardon is going to be risky, particularly with the state level. He is likely finalizing what this looks like so he gets away free and clear. I am not exacyly sure what it will look like, though. Possibly a foreign country but he has alienated so many countries and it would be impossible for him to hide. Same goes for being in this country. He cant hide and eventually the court system will catch up with him.

My final take on it is he has a plan, but it isnt very good and likely will fall apart undrr scrutiny.

pretty much this, sure the NY tax thing could impact him but I expect years and years of appeals and finally a cash fine.

I think that Trump will never willingly appear as a defendant in any US court. The SDNY will obviously charge him in the pornstar payoff case. Being Prez just granted him temporary immunity from that. He'll probably go with a futile self pardon & go on a foreign vacation while that gets sorted out in court, then claim political amnesty somewhere. Hell- he might be playing golf with Yanukovych in Crimea three months from now, saying "Look what you made me do!"
