He said he was resigning to focus 100% on Trump, but it wasn't really his decision. I guess his old firn wants zero association with his brand of bat shit.

But at least one comment Giuliani made did seem to ruffle feathers at Greenberg Traurig: When he suggested that Michael Cohen's $130,000 hush money payment to Stormy Daniels was just business as usual. . . Turns out, Greenberg Traurig would rather not associate itself with such arrangements. “We cannot speak for Mr. Giuliani with respect to what was intended by his remarks,” a spokeswoman, Jill Perry, told the New York Times. “Speaking for ourselves, we would not condone payments of the nature alleged to have been made or otherwise without the knowledge and direction of a client.”

In addition to suggesting Giuliani may have burned some bridges, the statement also undercuts the idea that this is a standard practice for reputable lawyers.

Yeah I heard. The firm probably took exception to the ease and regularity of pay offs for porn stars/sex workers, or at least didn't appreciate it being made a topic.

But then it's also pretty clear Rudy is as senile as he is dishonest, and who would want that associated with their business? Dump doesn't count as he has no concept of shame and habitually holds truth and facts in contempt.

"Focus 100%" is the new "I'm leaving to spend more time with my family."

Considering how "helpful" he has been to Trump, I doubt anyone would want his legal services.

I read the firm he worked for didn't appreciate Giuliani suggesting that they have engaged in pay-offs similar to what Cohen is accused of and that it's common practice. They refuted that AND said they wouldn't make a financial move without the consent of the client. <--- that amuses me!

He lies about everything.

Everything knows this except Trump cocksuckers.

And most of them know it, they just don't care.

Shoot themselves in the foot mentality is a constant in their lives.

I guess saying you're removing all distractions to focus entirely on one client sounds better than admitting you're bad at your job and got fired. :p

Rudy is like the icing on the latest cupcake iteration at the WH. You know he won't last long but hey you let him have his day in the sun.:p With the Trump clown car candidate pool diminishing I wonder who will get into the car next?:D

What does that part have to do with anything?

I was thinking at the time, isn't what you a saying that's a normal lawyer function, is basically illegal. The only thing I can think why they even brought Rudy onboard was that he was going to be the "shinny object' to just get any attention away from the Trump shit show.

I think it salient given we're really talking about a married guy who currently leads the party of family values, and who relies on the religious right. I can understand a firm not wanting to be associated with this, but I don't mean that as a slight against porn stars, escorts, brass pole technicians, etc.

No. Why? What am I missing?

Just made me think of when Wells Fargo got busted doing all kinds of crooked shit to their customers. Probably had them on the brain as I had just heard Warren Buffet's view on Wells Fargo. Surprising stuff. I'm practically still grinning over Elizabeth Warren slowly tearing their president a new blowhole on TV.

It's easy for people who hate themselves, everybody, so related perhaps more to the severity of the case or the lack of countervailing experiences, to become addicted to fame, especially having had a taste of the adulation of other sycophants that want to participate in some moment of glory.
