Rudy is delusional....

WASHINGTON -- After a whistleblower's complaint about President Donald Trump was declassified and made public on Thursday, Rudy Giuliani, Trump's personal lawyer, was angry, according to a report.

"It is impossible that the whistleblower is a hero and I’m not. And I will be the hero! These morons—when this is over, I will be the hero," Giuliani said while "nearly shouting" at an Atlantic journalist.

"Anything I did should be praised," Giuliani said in the interview.

The anonymous whistleblower complaint that sparked an impeachment inquiry alleges that Trump pressured the president of Ukraine to investigate political rival Joe Biden -- and the White House sought to cover up the phone conversation between the two world leaders.

The complaint
says Giuliani was a "central figure in this effort," and in a summary of a July 25 phone call between Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky released by the White House on Wednesday, Giuliani is mentioned by both leaders.

"Mr. Giuliani is a highly respected man. He was the mayor of New York City, a great mayor, and I would like him to call you," Trump said on the call, according to the summary. "I will ask him to call you along with the Attorney General. Rudy very much knows what's happening and he is a very capable guy."

On the call, Trump also asked Zelensky to look into Biden, who Trump has claimed with no proof was involved in a corruption scandal in Ukraine.

The whistleblower's complaint said that White House officials were "deeply concerned by what they viewed as Mr. Giuliani's circumvention of national security decisionmaking processes to engage with Ukrainian officials and relay messages back and forth between Kyiv and the President."

"If this guy is a whistleblower, then I'm a whistleblower too," Giuliani said in the Atlantic interview. "You should be happy for your country that I uncovered this."

In one of multiple interviews with CNN on Thursday, Giuliani also said, "I should be as sympathetic as a whistleblower. I did my job and now all these people are torturing me."

He made me sick back when people called him a hero. He reminds me of a koi at feeding time.

A little KJV

"Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you,and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake".

People will say evil against those who oppose it and boast of evildoers as heroes, yet in the end I think they shall not prevail.

This will always be true if forgotten because evil is the result of conditioning and conditioning can and is sometimes undone. Look at all who have outgrown this or that form of bigotry.

The sad thing is that Trumpists are genuinely convinced that Trump and his close circle will be seen as heroes. That they'll have an enduring, warmly-regarded legacy, and we'll pine for the days when Trump was throwing hissy fits on Twitter and Giuliani was shouting lies on camera.

The truth is that most people will regard them as bumbling failures who set American politics back by years.

So now I have to ruminate over whether Trump or Giuliani is the more unhinged one. It certainly seems like they're competing against each other for the title. At one time I thought nobody could compete with Trump as he sails his decrepit dinghy into the swamp of his inevitable demise.

Now comes Giuliani, the "Hero of the Battle of the Ukrainian Dirt Dig War".

I haven't checked 538 as of late, but trends must still follow the Trump Rule where the more he and his sidekicks fvcks things up the more popular they get with the Repub constituency.

Rudy could go absolutely nuts and say something that exposes the President even more.
Post impeachment Rudy could be looked at as a hero

Giuliani set to make paid appearance next week at Kremlin-backed conference that includes Putin

Rudolph W. Giuliani, whose actions as President Trump’s personal lawyer have helped set in motion an impeachment inquiry, is set to appear as a paid speaker at a Kremlin-backed conference in Armenia on Tuesday — an event expected to include the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin and other top Russian officials.

Giuliani confirmed to The Washington Post on Friday that he plans to take part in a panel at the conference sponsored by Russia and the Moscow-based Eurasian Economic Union, a trade alliance launched by Putin in 2014 as a counterweight to the European Union.

According to an agenda for the event posted online, Giuliani is set to participate in a panel led by Sergey Glazyev, a longtime Putin adviser who has been under U.S. sanctions since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine five years ago.

If this was pitched in a writer's room it would be quickly rejected for being too unbelievable a turn. The president's personal lawyer who is already implicated in one enormous scandal that will likely lead to his client's impeachment, not to mention the distinct possibility that he broke a number of laws, is going to do....this.

Are you sure this wasn’t a story from the Onion.
Sure sounds like one.
Sadly I’m probably wrong.

When it's over, says RG, he'll be the hero. Well, it's his face he sees every morning in the mirror as he shaves. So, yeah, his own hero. But maybe nobody else's.

I believe his mirror will be 4"x4" in prison.

Giuliani won't talk without consulting trump.

Attorney client privilege doesn't apply to crimes. Also, wouldn't this additionally count as witness tampering on trump's part?

Rudy was operating outside his capacity as the president's attorney if he was conducting foreign policy on behalf of the US government as he claims. Congress should drag his ass to the capitol and hold him until questions are answered. Nobody would really mind.

Personally I think that is what the Republican Senators want. Tuck Rudy away so he doesn’t have a voice.
I say let Rudy be Rudy and drag him in last.

Obviously he's going to try to use privilege but as you say that doesn't work especially since Rudy is implicated it one.

So persecuted! Maybe Rudy can explain what his job was in Ukraine, other than to illegally obtain dirt for Trump's campaign. C'mon, Rudy. You can do it!
