The elf who wanted to be a dentist was actually named Hermey. Everyone thought it was Herbie, but in the original scripts, the name was Hermey. They've got a pretty good article on TV Party about it.

I've never missed it. Watched it every year that I can remember. They just don't make movies like they used to.
