I have been trying to get my son's shoes dry for 3 hours now. They keep kicking open the dryer door though.

So what did I do?

Broke out the duct tape, what else?!

Take that you evil machine!

I take it the dryer didn't come with a shoe rack.

Man that must be noisy, bad enough when you get metal buttons hitting the sides...

WTH kinda shoes are they??

Who cares if it melts, I spent this evening posting labels on everything to improve the boy's reading. Here is a tip: dont tape paper to the oven, not a good idea.

As far as what kind of shoes, Nike something or others...his dog peed in his shoe...how fun is that?

I would've told your son to keep the door shut or else the evil dryer will eat him! ;)

When the going gets tough, the tough get duct tape :p

I saw this thread and the first thing I thought of was the "talking dirty" scene in Uncle Buck.

As for the shoes: set them upside-down on top of an AC/heater vent and turn the furnace fan on for a few hours.

I wish...thats how we did it when I grew up. My heating/AC ducts are on the walls...so no dice there...just snagged them out of the dryer, nice and clean with no doggy pee smell...the boy will be happy when he wakes up in the morning
