Ever shake someone's hand and they go in for the vulcan death grip on your fingers before you have a chance to get a grip? I hate this! It's like they are making up for some lack of childhood love or attention by crushing your fingers. Handshaking 101, inside of your thumb should meet the inside of the other person's thumb, not frigging grab my fingertips like some atkins dieter on a Krispy Kreme donut. That is all.

On a similar yet side note, I don't really like the concept of shaking someone's hands. Seems very unsanitary to me. Afterall, I have no idea where their hands have been and they might be one of those people who don't wash after using the bathroom or something.

Good point, I'm still amazed at the amount of people at my work that don't bother to wash their hands. I do the old "open the door with the paper towel trick". ;)

You're a wise man. If only you knew how many people like me there are who slide thier hand between their cheeks moments before shaking. It's truly an amazing number.

Yea, I would rather prefer a death grip than a limp one.

I understand what you mean though. Thanks for a good laugh. :)

There's this place in Austin, Juan in a Million, where the owner will walk around and shake hands with the customers. He'll rear back and slap his hand into yours. You have to be ready for it, or you get caught in some kind of weird awkward grip.
